Makam Mbah Priok

The tomb of Mbah Priok (Makam Mbah Priok also Gubah Al Haddad) is surrounded by the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) in the harbourside area of Koja, north Jakarta.The saint’s full name is Habib Hasan Muhammad Al Haddad. His tomb is accessed from Jalan Raya Pelabuhan that runs underneath the raised Jalan Tol Tanjung Priok.To get there, locate Jalan Yos Sudarso and make your way north along it into the spaghetti tangle of streets and raised roadways in Jakarta’s harbour precinct. Jalan Yos Sudarso becomes Jalan Raya Sulawesi. At its northern extremity this street curves right and, under the name Jalan Raya Pelabuhan, heads east. Follow Jalan Raya Pelabuhan for about 700 metres to an intersection where a branch curves left (north) through a tall gateway announcing the Gubah Al Haddad [6° 6’27.74″S 106°53’57.46″E].
